When addiction appears in a teenager’s life, one of the first signs is a sudden drop in academic performance. Parents who are considering residential treatment for their middle or high school-aged son may be concerned that not only is their child failing in school, but has most likely fallen far behind on his path to graduation.
At Mid-Atlantic Teen Challenge we have a credit recovery program in place to help establish a good starting point for your child’s academic success.
We will work with your son’s current school to see where he should be placed in our unique academy. It may be that he needs remedial English, grade-level science, and advanced mathematics (for example) – with credit recovery he will not be “stuck” in one grade level for all subjects, but rather he will receive an individualized plan make his high school graduation a reality.
